Hi, my name is Bella Vega-Dadurian. I created this clothing line for people like myself; I wanted eco-friendly clothing with unique designs however I couldn’t find any that were affordable. So, I decided to make some myself. Everything is handmade and the shirts are 100% organic cotton. Shirts are made to order and can be requested to be naturally dyed using indigo.
My Story
Thanks to my mom, I was given the opportunity to travel the world from a very young age. Whilst creating this brand, I wanted to incorporate the knowledge and experiences I have accumulated throughout the years. Experiencing extreme pollution in countries like China contrasted with experiencing progressive countries such as Finland. This contrast flipped a switch in my brain to be more environmentally conscious, as I was able to see both extremes of the spectrum.
I have also gained incredible inspiration from my travels. When I was brainstorming ideas, I remembered an experience I had in the Amazon forest when I was about 6 years old. I was in awe and amazed as the native Amazonians made red paint out of a plant (urucum seeds). This experience inspired me to research naturally dying and incorporating that into my work. I also thought back to the time I planted a tree in Rwanda with the hotel staff to combat the environmental effects the hotel construction caused. This inspired me to create my tags of seeded paper.
